Kim Delaney is American and born in November 29, 1961 , she played many great roles like her starring role as Detective Diane Russell on TV series NYPD Blue, and winning for that role an Emmy Award. She participated in the ABC TV drama All My Children playing the role of Jenny Gardner. 

She also played the leading role of Philly  , CSI: Miami.

Delaney is has two nationalities Irish and American , raised Roman Catholic , her mother Joan is homemaker and her father Jack is a union official and former head of the United Auto Workers.  

Delaney has four brothers and Delaney was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Roxborough. Her parents are.

Even as she was at the Hallahan Catholic Girls High School, she worked for the Elite agency as a model. After graduating, she moved to New York City and was also working there as a model. At the same time, she studied acting with Bill Esper.

Her first job as an actress was the role of Jenny Gardner in the television series All My Children in 1981. Despite the fact that Jenny Gardner was very popular, Delaney decided after three years to leave the series. In 2002 she was on the show CSI: Miami to see.
